Ivan Grundahl is a Danish fashion house established in Copenhagen in 1973 with a heritage of dark Nordic aesthetics, a rebellious spirit, and bespoke fashion. Its founder, Ivan Grundahl, was a hugely loved character who was an unchallenged Avant-Garde Créateur in Denmark. Straddling layering and structure, the style is deconstructed, draped, and manipulated. Black and monochromes conjure dark emotion which is offset by lightness and poetic fragility. Ivan Grundahl is rooted in contrasts, between construction and fluidity, and balances raw simplicity with sophistication through distressed materials, natural fibers and premium fabrics.
